BFFs. -- Lexington, NC Photographer
These two girls were so much fun to work with this afternoon. I dragged them all over Uptown Lexington, and despite the stinky smells and possible trespassing, they were agreeable to everything I asked of them :-)
We ended the afternoon on High Rock Lake, and took advantage of the fall foliage. Thanks, ladies, for a fabulous afternoon!
Here is my token "artsy" shot:

So Much Fun. -- Lexington, NC Senior Portraits
I was bummed no trains were parked on the tracks like earlier this year... and then, what should appear? Thank you, freight train! For making this photo extra awesome, and making Noah (my muse/assistant) super happy by blowing the whistle when he did the universal "honk your horn" signal... but, seriously... how fun is this?
I was really excited to take these shots, as they are not only my first "senior" portraits, but this young man has some great guitars and was willing to do whatever I asked for a good picture. BTW, Luke, Noah is totally jealous of these pics.

Hanging Rock Lower Cascades-- Triad, NC Family Photographer
It was a lovely day for a photo-shoot by a beautiful waterfall. I made the trek to Hanging Rock State Park, and it was well worth the hour drive. Not only did the scenery make for sweet photographs, I can't wait to go back in the summer and let the kids wade in the shallow water. Here's a few from today...

Change of Plans -- Lexington, NC Child, Pet Photography
I had planned on doing a days worth of family photography at Hanging Rock State Park today. However, with the forecast of rain all day, I didn't want to risk 6 families driving over an hour for a miserable photoshoot.
So, weather permitting, Hanging Rock will happen next weekend. One family opted for their session to happen today, at their home. The rain stayed away here all afternoon, and left a nice cloud cover, perfect for shadow-free photography.
Little Miss R was a fabulous subject for my camera. I had a great time photographing her (and her parents), and their horse of a boxer... he is a sweetie pie! Stay tuned for some seriously cute pics in the next day or so. :-)

Semper Fi -- Lexington, NC Newborn Photographer
This afternoon, I was blessed to have a last minute photo session with a beautiful newborn boy (just 9 days old!), whose Daddy happens to be leaving early tomorrow. He will be gone next four months as he continues his training with the Marines.
This was such a fun shoot, as sweet baby K was very easy to work with. I had envisioned the pics with him in the guitar case weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. To be honest, I am jealous I don't have pictures of Isaac or Little Man in a guitar case... I guess I'll have to have another baby boy :-)
