This baby boy is yet another miracle for a most deserving family. It was truly a blessing to photograph him at one week old.

My friend, Jessica, had a baby this week! YAY! And while I was at their house this morning, I stole baby Ella for a while and got some more newborn practice in. She is a BEAUTY, and I am smitten, as are her parents and 5 big siblings.

Uh, oh. I got the fever. It's not my fault. I blame this little guy I photographed today. Newbornlisious. This sweetie's mama summed it up perfectly when she said, "They're addictive." He is #4 for her and her hubby. Of course babies are easy at this age. They don't play in the toilet, or climb on the kitchen table, or throw cat food across the house. But still, I caught the fever. Maybe #5 is in my future come 2010... just waiting for DSS to ring my phone ;-)

This afternoon, I was blessed to have a last minute photo session with a beautiful newborn boy (just 9 days old!), whose Daddy happens to be leaving early tomorrow. He will be gone next four months as he continues his training with the Marines.

This was such a fun shoot, as sweet baby K was very easy to work with. I had envisioned the pics with him in the guitar case weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. To be honest, I am jealous I don't have pictures of Isaac or Little Man in a guitar case... I guess I'll have to have another baby boy :-)

Played around some outside with a birdbath that had marigolds growing in it. What can I say... it's a learning process. Trial and error is the best way I improve. The last photo is of big sister "M." Such sweet girls.

Today I had the great opportunity of taking newborn baby pictures! I had asked a friend if I could practice on her new baby girl, and I am thankful they let me... 'cause I NEED practice! Newborn photos are harder to accomplish than I thought (lighting, posing, cooperating baby, etc.).

Baby "H" is a beautiful baby as you can see, and she put up with me quite well. I was hoping to get some sleeping shots, but she was mostly awake the entire hour! But it turns out, I really like the photos of her eyes open, so I am glad she didn't want to miss any of the action.
