Another beautiful day at Hurley Park in Salisbury. This is becoming one of my favorite places to photograph people. There is a particular tree canopy that is breathtakingly beautiful...

This young man is just 2 and a half (big boy!), and he was a lot of fun to photograph. Such a handsome kiddo!

Catching Up -- Davidson County NC Photographer

It's been a while since I've picked up my camera! I admit, I do enjoy taking the winter months off. In a few weeks, I'll be back in the swing of things and routine posts will re-appear.

On a Mission -- Davidson County, NC Photographer

Today, I took some photographs of a fabulous family before one of their sons heads across the world to go back to school early tomorrow morning. It began to rain on my way there, and God was merciful, and gave a 30 minute reprieve from the rain so that I could get the pictures taken.

This family is special in so many ways. God has given them a passion for the people in Africa, and they have spent many years of ministry in a place most of us will never see the likes of. Personally, this family has ministered to us by serving in the toddler Sunday school class... they got to know our youngest children this past year... I am blessed so much by all the people who volunteer their time to help my children grow in the Lord!

Such a beautiful family... but enough of my yammering, I'll let the pictures to the talking.

Today's shoot was blessed with perfect weather! I can't complain when it's 70 degrees outside, the leaves are changing into glorious fall colors, and I have my camera in hand.

This little guy wore me out! He was a busy body, but I am used to chasing a 2 year old around ;-) I think his mom and dad will be surprised with the number of great shots I got, despite the constant state of motion! I know I am pleased.

I haven't posted lately... mostly out of being so busy... and a little lazy not wanting to load photos on the blog :-)

So, I have some catching up to do, but I'll start with today's session which took place at Hurley Park in Salisbury. It's a sweet place for photographs, and I'm sure I'll go back in the spring when the flowers are blooming.

What a great family! I was honored that they drove from Huntersville to have their pictures made. Their daughters have the most amazing blue eyes!
