Uh, oh. I got the fever. It's not my fault. I blame this little guy I photographed today. Newbornlisious. This sweetie's mama summed it up perfectly when she said, "They're addictive." He is #4 for her and her hubby. Of course babies are easy at this age. They don't play in the toilet, or climb on the kitchen table, or throw cat food across the house. But still, I caught the fever. Maybe #5 is in my future come 2010... just waiting for DSS to ring my phone ;-)
I admit that this was one of the easiest photo shoots I have ever been on. This sweet couple was so natural and comfortable in front of the camera. I LOVE the red dress and his matching tie... and I had a great time experimenting with some new shots. Don't they make a cute couple?
This is from last weekend's shoot, but I had to post it because I love this picture... I actually wish I could claim the blurry child as mine so I could hang this in my sons' room. :-)
What a lovely afternoon to spend outside taking pictures! A welcomed change from all the rain we had this week. I had the pleasure of taking some Christmas photos for a great family I know. I even snapped a few at the end of their sweet doggie. :-)
It has been twelve years since I have seen this particular photo subject...we went to HIGH SCHOOL together! She lives near Raleigh and made the trek to have maternity photos taken. I was so tickled to not only see her, but meet her husband and son. Her son, and the baby boy in her belly are truly miracles (I wish I could tell you more :-). God certainly is gracious in his gift of these children!
This was my first maternity photo shoot. I used the ultra sound idea another friend had sent me, and I am pleased with the results! What a fun day of photography :-)
I had two photo sessions this morning... thankfully the weather was beautiful compared to the 3 day storm we dealt with this week. If you could see the huge amount of photos I deleted you would laugh... it's all worth it for some really nice photographs. My new favorite is the third one down of my sweet friend and her little ones. Love it.
Headed to C-ville to take pics of some sweet friends. They have a beautiful piece of land full of that long wild grass that I love. I managed to make it through the shoot, despite my right neck/shoulder being in extreme pain (stress, pinched nerve, who knows?) Anybody know a great chiropractor in Lexington?
I love that we were able to include the family dogs in some shots. After all, dogs are family too, right?
These two girls were so much fun to work with this afternoon. I dragged them all over Uptown Lexington, and despite the stinky smells and possible trespassing, they were agreeable to everything I asked of them :-) We ended the afternoon on High Rock Lake, and took advantage of the fall foliage. Thanks, ladies, for a fabulous afternoon!
I was bummed no trains were parked on the tracks like earlier this year... and then, what should appear? Thank you, freight train! For making this photo extra awesome, and making Noah (my muse/assistant) super happy by blowing the whistle when he did the universal "honk your horn" signal... but, seriously... how fun is this?
I was really excited to take these shots, as they are not only my first "senior" portraits, but this young man has some great guitars and was willing to do whatever I asked for a good picture. BTW, Luke, Noah is totally jealous of these pics.
It was a lovely day for a photo-shoot by a beautiful waterfall. I made the trek to Hanging Rock State Park, and it was well worth the hour drive. Not only did the scenery make for sweet photographs, I can't wait to go back in the summer and let the kids wade in the shallow water. Here's a few from today...
